10th Grade Counseling Program

Fall Semester
All Sophomores will have the opportunity to take the PSAT in October. Counselors will continue to monitor the progress of 10th grade students to ensure academic success and will schedule meetings with parents and teachers when appropriate. Students will further explore careers through “Career Interest” activities in Naviance during Counselor class presentations.
Spring Semester
In early spring semester, Sophomore students will participate in “Course Preview Day” to learn more about class offerings for 10th Grade. Students will select courses through the Aeries portal for 11th Grade. All students will meet one-on-one with counselors to review their course selections. The Sophomore/Junior Parent Night presentation will offer information on transcripts, graduation requirements, college and career readiness, ACT/SAT and AP tests, summer school, credit recovery options, etc.
