11th Grade Counseling Program

Fall Semester
Throughout 11th grade, counselors continue to monitor the progress of our juniors and encourage them to maintain focus on college and career readiness. Juniors are invited to attend presentations by college admission representatives in the College and Career Center and attend the College Night in October. All Juniors will participate in “Career Preparation” activities in Naviance during the Counselor classroom visits. All National Merit Scholarship potential students are encouraged to take the PSAT in October.
Spring Semester
During the spring, counselors will meet with all Juniors to review review graduation and college requirements, college admissions, testing dates, and course selection for senior year. Throughout the spring, counselors will meet with individual at-risk juniors to discuss summer school and to support their graduation plans. The Sophomore/Junior Parent Night presentation will offer information on transcripts, graduation requirements, college and career readiness, ACT/SAT and AP tests, summer school, credit recovery options, etc. All Juniors are encouraged to take the SAT/ACT exam during the spring semester.
