The Whitney High School College and Career Center (CCC) is a comprehensive resource hub to support students in their college and career planning journey. Located inside the library, the CCC offers guidance in various areas, including career exploration, trades and apprenticeship opportunities, protective services programs, and two- and four-year college pathways. Students can access self-assessment tools, career fairs, camps, internships, and resume support. The CCC also provides information and assistance with military options, including ASVAB testing and branch meetings, financial aid through FAFSA workshops, the California Dream Act, and details about programs like the Promise Program at Sierra College. Scholarship support is available through Assist-a-Grad and external opportunities.
Additionally, the CCC helps students prepare for employment with job board access, resume and interview prep, and work permit assistance. Service learning is also emphasized, with resources to find volunteer opportunities and track hours. Open from 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., students are encouraged to visit before or after school or during lunch.
