It's Not Just A Military Test
The ASVAB is an aptitude test. It assesses strengths and helps predict success in a variety of careers, not only military occupations. Your child has no obligation to the military as a result of taking the ASVAB and participation is always voluntary.
About the Test…..The computer adaptive version of the test, CEP iCAT is tailored to the examinees ability level. All examinees begin the test with an item of average difficulty. If the examinee answers the first item correctly, the computer presents a harder item for question two. If the examinee answers item two incorrectly, the computer presents an easier item for question three. To summarize, CEP iCAT presents the best item for the individual. The best item is that which provides the most information about the examinees ability level.
The CEP iCAT consists of nine subtests, a total of 145 items. The CEP iCAT is self-paced and generally takes about 1.5 hours to complete. Because CEP iCAT tests are catered to each individual, extra time is allotted for each subtest.

15 Law Internships for High School Students in 2023
There are many self-assessment tools that students can use and take to learn more about their interests. It is important to remember that the results are a generalization and not likely to be an exact fit. However, this type of assessment can serve to help students learn about their interests and discover where they may fit in terms of professional occupations. Personal assessments serve to help students narrow their options to a group of potential career choices. This allows students to do more thorough research on occupations before they make a decision about which to pursue. Although a particular career may seem like a good fit based on a student’s personality or other characteristics, there are additional things to consider, including the amount of training students will need to go through to become highly qualified.
