WHY SIERRA?

on various Tuesdays throughout the school year in the College and Career Center:
 
 
 

Seniors who plan to attend Sierra College in the fall must complete and turn in the FAFSA by April 1st in order to recieve the two years free option. Regardless of parental signature, turn it in prior to 4/1/24 & your parents can add it later.

 
 
 
Tuesday April 2nd : Seniors that want to apply to SC as college freshman: 2 sessions available: 12 to 12:45 & 12:45 to 1:30. For those with dual enrollment/enrichment/general questions 1:30 to 2:15 pm. 
 
Tuesday April 9th: Seniors that want to apply to SC as college freshman: 1 session available: 12:30 to 1:15. For those wanting Dual enrollment/enrichment/general questions 1:15 to 2:15.
 
Tuesday April 16th: Seniors that want to apply to SC as college freshman: 1 session available: 12:30 to 1:15. For those wanting Dual enrollment/enrichment/general questions 1:15 to 2:15.
 
This is a time to get set up for dual enrollment, exploring options during high school and after. There are many great opportunities! Come ask your questions and set your path to success!

Current high school students may take Sierra College Courses via their Academic Enrichment Program
 
 
Registration. Make sure you have completed all application steps well ahead of the registration dates for your best selection of courses.

Plan to Attend SIERRA COLLEGE AFTER GRADUATION?
 
Complete your FAFSA by April 1 (if you do not, you will not be eligible for 2 years free) 
 
Complete your Sierra College Application
Even if you have taken Sierra College Classes before, you must apply for Fall 2024 as a "First Time College Student"
We are offering application help sessions on Tuesdays through with our Sierra College enrollment specialist biweekly in the College and Career Center. Please check the dates above.
 
Things a student needs to know for this application session:
Their current high school GPA
Potential major or degrees – Sierra College Degree Programs
Enrollment status – First time in college
Social security number
(IMPORTANT: If you don’t have one you can still apply )
 
Opt into the 2 years free/Promise Program
This is how you will get 2 years of FREE tuition if you are a full time college student. If you have taken previous classes at Sierra College and do not see the option for the Promise Program, please let Mr. Blate know when you meet with him. 
 
Accept the College Terms and Conditions
Once you have a MySierra account
 
Complete the Online
Career & Academic Planning (CAP) module
This can be found in your MySierra Account, Canvas, Canvas Online Classes and Gradebook
 
Transition Plan
Once you have completed all of the steps above, make an appointment with your transition counselor - Mr.Blate, to create your 1st year college course plan and qualify for Priority registration for classes!
